Carburize, Harden and Straighten of Transmission Gear and Spline Products
Superior Heat Treat LLC can carburize and harden your shafts requiring straightening to tight tolerances for any case depth and hardness requirement specified. Our approach couples optimized fixturing screens and load building techniques with variable speed control of the quench cycle to meet your stringent specifications. Parts are straightened in a fashion that minimizes the opportunity for case cracks and virtually eliminates the use of localized heat for consistent hardness throughout the part. Many techniques requiring localized heat can lead to soft spots and torch cracking. These product lines and other carburized shafts requiring straightening is "power alley" stuff for Superior Heat Treat. |
